During a trip, only your own service is downloaded. Buses come a map square at a time instead of all of Sydney’s at once, and on a long quiet stretch with your phone locked, live times are checked every 45 seconds instead of 15.
Only Shoo.’s server talks to Transport for NSW now. The app and its widgets read its shared copy of the live feeds and carry no key.

TapTapHop becomes Shoo., in 17 languages. Transport for NSW writes its service alerts in English, so they now translate on your iPhone wherever they appear, in the languages iOS can translate.
