These terms are an agreement between you and Korelda Pty Ltd (ABN 68 702 693 776), New South Wales, Australia, the maker of Shoo. (“we”, “us”). They apply when you use Shoo. By using the app, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can’t be excluded.
Travel information is a guide, not a guarantee
Shoo. is an independent app. It is not provided, endorsed or supported by Transport for NSW, the NSW Government or any transport operator. Times, platforms, vehicle positions, crowding, disruptions, fares and trip plans come from Transport for NSW open data, which we pass on as we receive it. We don’t run any services and can’t check that data against what happens on the network. That means:
- Times can be wrong. Departure and arrival times, including real-time ones, are estimates. Services can be late, early, changed, replaced or cancelled without notice, and the change may not reach the app in time, or at all.
- A service shown may not come. A service can appear as scheduled, on its way or arriving and still not turn up, or show in a different place from where it really is.
- Trip plans may not work. A suggested trip, change between services or walk may not be possible on the day, for example because of trackwork, closures, crowding or a missed connection.
- Guidance is automatic. The app works out whether you’re walking, waiting or on board from your phone’s location and motion, which can be imprecise, especially underground and in stations. It may say you’ve boarded, missed a service or reached your stop when you haven’t, and alerts, notifications, Live Activities and spoken directions can be late or not appear.
- Accessibility details can be out of date. Lifts, ramps and step-free routes can be out of service.
- The app may be unavailable. It needs a data connection, our servers and Transport for NSW’s services, any of which can be interrupted.
Always follow station signs, announcements and staff directions. Allow extra time, and don’t rely on the app alone for travel where timing matters, such as getting to a flight, a medical appointment, work or the last service of the night.
Stay safe
- Stay aware of your surroundings, especially near platforms, roads and wharves. Don’t use the app while driving or cycling.
- Walking directions may not reflect temporary works, closures or hazards. Follow signs, road rules and safety instructions.
- In an emergency, call 000.
Your account
You need an account to use Shoo.: sign in with Apple, Google or your email. It’s how your free trial and your plan are kept. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email or sign-in provider secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Free trial and plans
When you start using Shoo., you get the whole app free for 3 days. No payment details are needed and nothing is charged. We remind you a day before the free trial ends. After it, you can keep using Shoo. with a monthly or yearly subscription, or the Founder Pass, a one-time purchase. The free trial is once per account. The yearly subscription and the Founder Pass can be shared with your family through Apple’s Family Sharing (you and up to 5 others); the monthly one is for one person.
The Founder Pass unlocks the whole app, with every update, for as long as Shoo. is offered. If we ever stop offering Shoo., we’ll give at least 90 days’ notice in the app.
Plans are sold through the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings, and use Restore Purchases in the app on a new iPhone. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Fair use
Don’t misuse the app or its data feeds. For example, don’t scrape them, overload them, reverse-engineer the service to get around its limits, or use the app for anything unlawful.
Our liability
We provide the app with due care and skill. Apart from the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, we give no promise that transport information, trip plans or guidance in the app are accurate, complete, current or available.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage that comes from using or relying on the app or the transport information in it, including when it is late, missing, wrong or interrupted. This includes, for example, a missed or cancelled service, connection, flight, appointment, booking or shift, extra travel costs such as taxis, rideshare or accommodation, and lost income or opportunity. This doesn’t affect your right to compensation when we fail to meet a consumer guarantee, including for loss that was reasonably foreseeable.
Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies them, or any liability the law doesn’t allow us to limit, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Changes and ending
We may update the app. If we change these terms in a way that is significantly worse for you, we’ll tell you in the app at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don’t accept it, you can stop using Shoo. and cancel your subscription before it renews. You can stop using the app at any time.
This website and the film
shooshoo.app, the Shoo. launch film and the pictures on this website show what Shoo. does. They are general information, not advice, and not a promise of any service, time or result. The screens are captured from the app with fictional sample people and, at times, sample trips, so what you see in the app depends on live data, your settings and your iPhone. In comparisons with other apps, prices and languages are checked against the App Store on the date shown and features are checked by hand in each app and its developer’s help pages; they can change. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for loss that comes from relying on this website or the film.
The beta
Shoo. is currently a beta, distributed through Apple’s TestFlight. Beta versions may change, stop working or expire. Purchases made in a beta are test purchases and are not charged. The prices on this website apply once Shoo. is on the App Store.
