The film, described
Shoo. in under two minutes, scene by scene. It has music and no voice: everything it says is on screen.
-
Shoo. gets you around. Ride Sydney like a local.
Shoo.’s mark and its first words, on white. Under them, the five ways to get around: trains, metro, light rail, buses and ferries.
-
A map of Greater Sydney fills in with its train lines. An iPhone rises out of it with Shoo. open, a search for Bondi Beach and the departures nearby.
-
Walking to the station: 130 m, turn left onto Eddy Ave, then turn right into Central, with 3 minutes to spare.
-
On board the T4: get off at Bondi Junction, 8 minutes to your stop, next stop Kings Cross. The train moves along its line past Martin Place.
-
Introducing Shoo.
-
Every vehicle. Tracked live.
Line markers drift across the screen: T2, T4, M1, F1, L2 and buses.
-
Sydney’s live map: every train, metro, bus, ferry and light rail, each in its line’s colour, with the number of vehicles moving now. A T4 to Bondi Junction is picked out, with its stops, its times, Track live and Remind me.
-
Your bus, to the minute.
A bus heads for its stop. Its minutes count down, 3 min, 1 min, then Now, as it arrives at Town Hall House.
-
Everything near you.
The stations around you appear in a circle: Town Hall, Wynyard, Gadigal, QVB and Museum. On the iPhone, what leaves nearby: trains from Town Hall to Hornsby, Bondi Junction and the Airport, and metros from Gadigal to Tallawong and Sydenham.
-
Walks you to the platform.
Walking directions lead to Town Hall. The T4 to Bondi Junction leaves Platform 5 in 4 minutes, through the concourse to the platform: board near the front, carriages 1 and 2.
-
Even Town Hall. Two levels down. Every step shown.
From George Street down to the concourse by escalator, then the stairs down to Platform 5. The iPhone lists each step, and the step-free way by lift.
-
Tells you when to get off.
An L2 tram moves along its line to UNSW High Street. On the Lock Screen at 10:16: your stop is next, UNSW High Street in 2 minutes, then Get off here.
-
Know your kids got there safe.
Friends’ photos float by with their lines and minutes. On the map, Emma rides the M1 home to Chatswood. Then a notification: Emma got there safe, arrived at Chatswood, sharing has ended.
-
Finds you a seat.
Metro departures from Gadigal show how full each carriage is. The M1 to Tallawong leaves in 2 minutes, with the most room in carriage 1, at the front.
-
Speaks your language.
On a dark map, the banner Get off at Bondi Junction changes language, one after another: Spanish, French, Korean, Italian, German, Greek and Simplified Chinese. 17 languages, switched in one tap.
-
