Built on a server, every week
Every Sunday night, a server builds one compact index from all seven bundles: 39,261 stops in the current build. It refuses to publish anything that looks smaller than Sydney’s network, so a broken download can never reach you.
Your phone checks for a new index at most once a day. When there is one, it downloads it on Wi-Fi, checks it, and swaps it in while you use the app. New routes reach everyone within a week, with no app update.
Ready on day one. Since build 55, the latest index ships inside the app, so a new install starts with every stop and never downloads it again.
